Ingredients:

Two cups of plain cake flour or all-purpose flour

Two and a half tbsp of baking powder

A quarter teaspoon of salt

Four large eggs (keep at room temperature)

One and a half cups of caster, granulated or superfine sugar

Half a cup of unsalted butter (cut them into small cubes)

One cup of milk (you can also use whole milk)

Three teaspoons of vanilla extract

Three teaspoons of vegetable or canola oil

Two sticks of unsalted butter (softened)

500g of soft icing sugar or powdered sugar

Three teaspoons of vanilla extract (for vanilla buttercream)

Four tablespoons of milk (to adjust the thickness of vanilla buttercream)

Directions:
